A principal who can see the vision clearly, and communicate it to an entire staff, changes what’s possible for every student in the building. That clarity doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built through a year of structured, job-embedded development, the kind PLC provides.
And the results speak for themselves. In PLC’s inaugural cohort, 100% of the Executive Directors who enrolled their principals said they would recommend PLC, and every one observed significant improvement in their principal’s ability to lead instruction. That work has already reached 2,400+ students and 200+ teachers across Memphis communities, and as PLC grows, leaders continue to rate it more effective than other programs they’ve attended, 85% say so, with more than half saying significantly so.

Research is clear that leadership is second only to teaching among the school-based factors that shape student learning. Yet principal development is too often an afterthought, and the schools that need strong leaders most frequently have the least access to developing them.
PLC exists to close that gap. High-quality leadership development is intensive, year-long work, and program fees alone don’t cover its full cost. Philanthropic support is what lets us reach more leaders, sustain our cohorts as they grow, and keep this work rooted in the communities it serves. When you give, you’re not funding a program. You’re investing in the leaders who shape thousands of students’ futures.
